What does Target do with unsold clearance merch?

I've been watching the Clone Commander blasters at various Targets around town waiting for them to hit $10... and I got lucky, but I'm also greedy and wanted a few more. Several Targets still had them at $20 (and up) as recently as this week (July 26 through 30). I've gone back to some of those same stores and now that the new merch has hit - the clearance stuff is gone. Some of them had such high quantities I find it impossible that they actually sold... Any Target employees got the inside scoop? Where does the unsold stuff go?

I've gotten some things at Goodwill after the target clearances are over.

sometimes they mark them clear down to 75% off and they don't last long

There is that also. Unless there are shelves of junk, the 75% goodies last about ten minutes.

Most stuff goes on a schedule of price drops. After it hits 75% if it doesn't sell it either goes to goodwill or gets junked. However often times if the space is needed for new merchant they'll put it in the back for a little while until someone has time to make room to get it back on the floor. It normally won't be off stage for more than a day or so.

I've seen some old Target clearance items pop up at Tuesday Mornings or Big Lots.

If anyone sees the blasters show up anywhere else (cheap that is) please let me know!! Wal-Mart and TRU are still stocked at $40... if I could pick up another three or four at $10, I'd be thrilled!!
